Soneva Fushi, the renowned barefoot luxury resort located in the Maldives’ Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, is set to host tennis icon Daniil Medvedev as part of Soneva’s upcoming Winter Collection.
From November 22 to December 1, 2023, Soneva Fushi invites guests of all ages to participate in one-on-one coaching sessions and friendly matches with Daniil on the resort’s open-air or covered Olympic-sized tennis courts. Currently ranked as the world’s #3 tennis player, Daniil Medvedev is a US Open champion (2021) and former world #1. In 2022, he made history by becoming the first player outside of the ‘Big Four’ to claim the top spot in over 18 years. In the current year, Daniil has secured victories at prestigious tournaments such as the Rotterdam Open, Qatar Open, Dubai Tennis Championships, Miami Open, and the Italian Open, in addition to reaching the semifinals at Wimbledon and the US Open.
Soneva Fushi’s Winter Collection also includes visits from other renowned experts. Celebrated British sailor Sir Robin Knox-Johnston will lead unique sailing lessons aboard Soneva in Aqua from November 23 to December 1, 2023. Two-Michelin-Starred Chef Tim Raue, the only German chef featured in Netflix’s Chef’s Table, will be the resident chef at the fine-dining zipline restaurant, Flying Sauces, from October 12, 2023, through January 24, 2024.
