Champlin’s Marina & Resort Introduces New Suite Accommodations and Seaside Experiences on Block Island

Champlin’s Marina & Resort, a picturesque 44-room resort-style property located on Block Island, welcomed back travelers starting May 12 with an array of exciting new experiences both on and off the water. The resort unveiled new dining venues, a refreshed pool deck and bar, group accommodations at Champlin’s Cottage, and a range of upgrades at the marina, ensuring an unforgettable stay for guests.

Introducing Champlin’s Cottage, a charming addition to the resort’s accommodation offerings. This standalone cottage features two spacious guest suites, providing an intimate and home-away-from-home setting for families and friends. Each suite boasts a king bedroom adorned with fresh and natural décor, complemented by nautical touches. A full kitchen with a stove and full-sized refrigerator, a comfortable living area with seating and a sofa bed, a walk-in shower bathroom, flat-screen television, dining table, and a closet bureau ensure that guests feel right at home. The larger suite also offers an exclusive outdoor deck, inviting guests to relax and enjoy views of the plaza and Champlin’s Marina.

Guests can indulge in new drinking and dining experiences at Champlin’s. The Landing at Champlin’s, a new seasonal restaurant opening in May, offers fresh and local cuisine against the picturesque backdrop of the Great Salt Pond. The menu features hand-crafted dishes like New England clam chowder, fresh lobster rolls, and steak frites, paired with curated cocktails, including the iconic Espresso Martini and the famous Mudslide. Whether enjoyed indoors or outdoors, guests can savor their meals while taking in stunning waterfront views.

For poolside dining, Champlin’s updated pool bar and refreshed pool deck provide a delightful setting. With new furniture and lounge areas, guests can relax and unwind while enjoying refreshing cocktails under the sun. The island’s only hotel pool, now heated during colder months, offers a space for kids to swim, splash, and enjoy delicious summer snacks. The Blockamole food truck in the Plaza adds to the culinary offerings, serving fun and flavorful Mexican dishes like fresh fish tacos and delicious nachos, all topped with the ultimate “Blockamole Guacamole.”

Café Boutique offers convenient grab-and-go service throughout the day, while Pier 76 Dock Bar overlooking the Great Salt Pond presents live music, quick food options, and fun destination-inspired cocktails. Those with a sweet tooth can visit the Sugar Shack, where kids can create their perfect sundae while adults enjoy a special spiked creation.

Champlin’s is known for its festive on-property events, and this season is no exception. Guests will have the opportunity to celebrate occasions such as St. Patrick’s Day, Christmas in July, and Mardi Gras, featuring lively music, fun games, and a festive atmosphere. Mother’s Day will be commemorated with a special brunch, pool party, and ice cream sundae making at the Sugar Shack, allowing children to create a sweet treat for their mothers.

Additionally, Champlin’s offers new experiences and enhancements to enrich the guest experience. Wellness activities, extended live entertainment throughout the week, marina upgrades, pet-friendly accommodations, outdoor activities, and a complimentary shuttle service have been introduced. Guests can explore the island with Champlin’s complimentary bikes or enjoy lawn games, live entertainment, fire pits, and swimming in the revamped waterfront pool. The outdoor yoga program now extends to the water, offering sunrise kayak meditation sessions, allowing guests to connect with nature and experience peace and mindfulness on the Sound.
