Mont SUTTON officially announced its targeted opening date for the upcoming ski season: Friday, December 1st. The mountain has undergone extensive preparations, including upgrades to the snowmaking system, ensuring a smooth start to the season.
Snowmaking Success: The recently upgraded pumping system and snowguns were successfully tested on the weekend of November 12, showcasing a doubled production capacity. The snowmaking team’s efforts, coupled with favorable weather conditions, have resulted in an unprecedented quantity and quality of snow covering the mountain.
Maintenance Operations: To prepare for the winter season, various maintenance operations have been underway for several months. The snowmaking, ground maintenance, chairlift maintenance, garage, and building maintenance teams have collaborated to ensure all aspects of the mountain operation are in top condition. Equipment positioning, chairlift platform improvements, preventive maintenance on chairlift clamps, and the readiness of groomers contribute to a seamless opening.
Total investments for the season have reached $2.2 million, reflecting a commitment to modernization, with visible effects seen in the pristine white carpet already gracing the mountain.
Opening Weekend and Promotions: Mont SUTTON is geared up for the first weekend of skiing on December 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Subsequent weekends on December 8, 9, and 10, will be followed by seven-day-a-week operations from December 15 onward. The mountain offers attractive promotions on season passes, including options like Monday Pass, Friday Pass, SUTTON Cards, 2×2 Pass for students aged 14 to 25, and Family Pass.
